Legal basis

Saudi Social Insurance Law — GOSI pension and occupational hazard contributions for Saudi and non-Saudi employees.

What is GOSI and who must pay it in Saudi Arabia?

GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) is Saudi Arabia's mandatory social insurance system. Employers must register Saudi national employees and remit monthly pension and occupational hazard contributions. Non-Saudi employees are subject to employer-paid occupational hazard insurance only.

GOSI rates — Saudi vs non-Saudi employees

Saudi nationals: 9% employee pension + 9% employer pension + 2% employer occupational hazard (11% total employer). Non-Saudi: 2% employer hazard only — no employee pension contribution. Rates should be verified on the GOSI portal.

How is GOSI calculated in KSA?

Contributions are calculated on the employee's monthly contributory wage. For this calculator, enter total monthly wage in SAR. Saudi employee pays 9%; employer pays 9% pension plus 2% hazard. Non-Saudi employer pays 2% hazard only.

GOSI registration — what new KSA employers must do

Register your establishment on the GOSI portal, add each Saudi employee within required deadlines, and remit monthly before the due date. ArcHR calculates GOSI from payroll and exports contribution files for portal submission.
